Soccer Action
I love capturing soccer action shots. I have had over 15 years experience at this, so I've learned a thing or 2 over the years! These are shots I took this year of my son's team.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the men's soccer teams from Steele Canyon High School. It was fun working with the boys. This was especially meaningful for me, because my son is on the Varsity team there!
This was just a sample of the portraits I took that day. I'm looking forward to doing more and expanding my horizons!
And, a big thank you goes to Beth, who helped me on photo day and who is the one who provided me with this opportunity!

Dan & Cassandra Wedding Day
I so much enjoyed being able to photograph the marriage celebration of my friends, Dan & Cassandra. They are such beautiful people, inside & out.
We had fun while we waited for the limo to arrive to take us from the hotel to Tom Hamm's where the ceremony would take place.
Dan has recently returned from a long deployment to Afghanistan. Cassandra was overjoyed to have him home safe & sound.

Painting with a Lens techniques
I am taking a class--Painting With a Lens--taught by Rod & Robin Deutschmann. Today was the first day. I am learning some new techniques that I find most exciting to learn! Here is an image I took after class at my new house. The little bee is facing me on the stem. I like the pop of color in the background created by flowers.
Can you see why this class is called Painting with a Lens? Does this not look rather like a painting? I used no techniques on the computer after taking the photo other than to crop it a little more. I took this and the other images posted here as is by making the adjustments in the camera before I took the photo.
Here you can see the tiny bee in flight.
This one was taken so that the background was totally black, even though that's not what the eye sees. I love how the flower pops here. It's so exciting to be able to make an image that I see in my mind's eye, but I can't see with my actual eye! Here are a few more images taken today:
